
Leo Will Whelan
Bio:
Will Whelan is an artist and educator based in Boston whose work explores themes of language, consumption, and nature through abstracted organic forms. He holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Art History and Studio Art from the University of Chicago and earned his Master of Education in Art Education at Lesley University. Additionally, Will holds a Certificate in Copyediting from UC San Diego.
His experience includes roles as a teaching artist at the Eliot School of Fine and Applied Arts and ARCK Boston, and he currently teaches in the Somerville Public Schools. In 2015, Will founded the Dorchester Art Project, an artist-run studio and gallery space in Boston’s Fields Corner neighborhood. He resides in Malden, MA, with his partner, Tina, and their daughter, Zadie.
