Pierre Lamoureux

Bio:

Pierre Lamoureux directs and produces films alongside his brother François Lamoureux, specializing in music concerts and performing arts productions. Their films have been internationally broadcast and have achieved significant commercial success across DVD, BluRay, digital downloads, and streaming platforms, earning platinum and gold certifications. Their work has garnered prestigious accolades, including a Grammy, two Emmy Awards, two Juno Awards, two Gemini Awards, and numerous other industry honors and nominations.

Between 2013 and 2015, the Lamoureux brothers directed and produced two acclaimed series for national broadcast on U.S. public television: “Speakeasy” and “Front and Center.” Their extensive concert filming credits feature renowned artists and groups such as The Who, Rush, Zappa Plays Zappa, Alanis Morissette, Harry Connick Jr., Branford Marsalis, Ben Harper, The Stray Cats, Peter Frampton, Slipknot, deadmau5, L’Opéra de Montréal, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Cirque du Soleil, Symphony Nova Scotia, Judy Collins, Aimee Mann, Flamenco Hoy de Carlos Saura, and The Tragically Hip, among many others.

Both Pierre and François studied music at McGill University—Pierre in jazz bass and François in jazz guitar. Pierre also graduated from the Performing Arts program, specializing in classical guitar, at Cambrian College.

Their areas of expertise include concert films, documentaries, virtual reality, immersive technologies, and productions in 4K and 3D formats.
